The Saint Francis Hospice van stolen in Upminster

The Saint Francis Hospice van, a white Ford Transit Luton, was stolen by thieves early on Wednesday morning from the driver’s home in Cranham.

The hospice, which offers free care for people with cancer and other life limiting illnesses, uses the van to pick up donations for its charity shops.
The van, which features the Saint Francis Hospice logo and orange text painted on either side, and has the registration number NU62 KCA, went missing between 11pm and 2am.

It was only purchased in October and is worth approximately £16,000. It did not have any donations in it at the time.

The stolen hospice van seen was reportedly seen fly-tipping in Upminster later this week.

Sarah Chapman has started a donation page to help enable the charity to replace the stolen van – details here.
