Scent and Sensibility: using scent sensibly in the garden Ursula Buchan

Ursula trained at Wisley and Kew. She has spent many years writing about gardens and gardening for newspapers and magazines including ‘The Garden’ and ‘The English Garden’. She is now concentrating on lecturing and writing books. Her latest is ‘A Green and Pleasant Land; How England’s Gardeners Fought the Second World War’. She has won three major writing awards from the Garden Media Guild. In this lecture she explores how we perceive scents, introduces us to the kind of scents in a garden and shows us how to use scent to best effect in the garden.

Lecture open to non-members, entry fee £2.00. Doors open 7.15.
